MOJAMOJA BRUNCH & CONCERT: DEFINING CULTURAL INCLUSION
From 2009 to 2018, the Annual MojaMoja Brunch & Benefit Concert was a Los Angeles institution, enjoying nearly a decade of spotlighting up-and-coming artists, supporting local and international charities, and celebrating community.
Each year during GRAMMY weekend, Garth Trinidad carefully curated a mix of musical artists spanning genres and cultural backgrounds. As Producer of the concert portion of the brunch, Oscar Merino consistently delivered top-notch attendee and artist experiences and worked with top-notch visual creatives to capture and produce the featured recap videos. The brunch was a groundbreaking live platform for emerging talent to share the stage with GRAMMY award winners and nominees. Some of the featured artists included Janelle Monae, Little Dragon, Chicano Batman, Mavis Staples, Flying Lotus, Thundercat, Anderson Paak, Seu Jorge, Heavy D, and Questlove.
Beyond the performances, the brunch was a catalyst for connection, uniting people from all walks of life in a vibrant celebration of artistry. The event's success was built on its ability to blend music, food, culture, and community seamlessly.
The Annual MojaMoja Brunch & Benefit Concert became more than an event – it was an annual tradition that represented the power of music and culture to bring people together and spark meaningful conversations. It left an indelible mark on LA's cultural landscape and continues to inspire to this day.
